Questions and answers about this software RDS and stereo encoder

Noiseful

Postby Holzrichter » 04 Mar 2010, 13:11

Hello,
finally I got a transmitter which is working properly. It is used to distribute my PC musicprogram in the whole house in shielded coax-cables - no broadcasting (it's pretty strictly forbidden in Germany)
I'm using the one-soundcard configuration with TERRATEC Aureon 7.1 Space.
Unfortunately there is a bad background noise which is good hearable when music is stopped but also disturbs the music as itself.
I've tried to find the source and found that it is only present while Airomate is started. It is not hearable while only the transmitter is active.
It sounds like a mix of different frequencies and I can get it less louder by reducing the levels of MPX pilot tone OR (not AND) 57k subcarrier of the RDS.
This is no good solution 'cause STEREO and RDS would not get recognized well by the tuners which are connected.
Has anyone similar experiences?

Regards

Your Aureon is probably not running at 192kHz.
Maybe the follow topic on this forum will help you: http://forum.heinecke.nl/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=104

unfortunately not that easy ...
I'm absolutely sure that I have the right settings to 192kHz
For better understanding: RDS and MPX are running - no problem, but there's a bad background noise low level but visible in the level meter of airomate.
Tell me how to post a screenshot here to show you.

What kind of input device have you selected in Airomate?
